It’s that time of year where we celebrate those in service by donating to those in service!
To qualify for $60 acupuncture treatments, you must work in the service industry. Think not only bartenders, servers, cooks, restaurant workers, but also hairdressers, baristas, delivery people, and anyone else whose body gets abused in their day-to-day jobs providing service to others.
100% of the profits will be going to the non-profit Drive Change NYC.
Book an appointment through the button on the right; be sure to choose “Acupuncture for the Awesome” as a session choice.
You’ll automatically be sent intake forms that you will need to complete in full prior to your first session.
There’s no limit to the number of appointments you book; however, once we hit 100 sessions, we’ll reset the clock next year with a new non-profit.
A few years ago, I asked my brother what he wanted for his birthday and a tradition was born.
My brother, Josh, is one of the most awesome people I know - I definitely won the sibling lottery. He’s also one of the most heartfelt and generous people I know. A few years ago, I asked him what he wanted for his birthday and he was unequivocal in his request that I offer acupuncture to his co-workers in the restaurant industry at a rate they could afford. Living as over worked, under insured, with late nights, heavy lifting, and repetitive stress injuries (both physical and psychological) - can do long term damage. Josh has worked in service for most of his adult life, so he knows first hand how hard it is on the body.
I’ve been a Chinese medicine practitioner for most of my adult life. Which means my brother has been on my acupuncture table a fair amount and felt the impact treatment had on his body first hand.
For the next few years, I shifted my schedule each spring to offer special appointments one day a week for 6 weeks to his colleagues as a gift to my brother - and each year I LOVED working with the people he sent my way. Loved.
But it wasn’t enough.
This year, we thought we would to things a bit differently. Rather than offering a few days to a few people, we wanted to expand the reach. And we also wanted to expand the impact.
Instead of limiting the sliding scale treatments to an afternoon a week, I’ve fully opened up my schedule and will be offering “Acupuncture to the Awesome” until we hit 100 treatments. We’ve decided that 100% of the proceeds will go to a non-profit Josh chose - Drive Change NYC.
Josh is awesome, and if he's pointed you to my table, it means you're awesome. So I really can't wait to get to know you.
Love and birthday kisses,
