The office uses Electronic Medical Record software called JaneApp

The software allows us to schedule appointments, send electronic intake forms, maintain electronic charts, keep consent forms on file, track invoicing, share documents with patients, give you direct access to a professional grade supplement dispensary, meet virtually, and remain HIPPA compliant.

  • Once you book an appointment online, you will receive an email with a link to complete your intake forms online. JaneApp will automatically create a patient portal for you where you can schedule appointments, view documents that I share with you, upload bloodwork or other documents from providers, and manage payment preferences.

  • You will receive separate emails for consent forms which must be completed prior to your visit.

  • Your first appointment will be a 50 minute virtual session. This is so we can meet without masks and have enough time to construct a plan of action that we can jump into when you arrive for your treatment session.

Is there anything I should do before my first visit? 

Please email (heidi@lovieacupuncture.com) any information about your case that you may have received from your other doctors such as X-rays, lab test, blood work, MRI's, etc. As with any medical visit, it's a good idea to write down questions you may have ahead of time and keep a running list so that you don't forget anything you'd like to address or ask. I'm an advocate of patient education, therefore no question is too inconsequential or off the table. 

Comfortable, loose clothing should be worn that can be pulled above the knees and elbows. Try to avoid the following: 

  • Eating a large meal within one hour or your appointment

  • Fasting for more than six hours before your appointment

  • Alcohol, tobacco, food or drinks that color your tongue (such as coffee) immediately prior to treatment

  • Vigourous exercise or sexual activity within the hour before treatment

Cancellation Policy

Your scheduled time is reserved specifically for you.

In fairness to other patients, the offices maintains a 24-hour cancellation policy. You will be required to provide a credit card number (including 3 digit CVV code) when scheduling; this will ONLY be used if canceling within 24-hours, in which case you will be charged for a full treatment.

If you think you have COVID, you will not be charged for cancellation. It is incredibly important to keep everyone safe and to always err on the side of caution. Please simply email me (heidi@lovieacupuncture.com) and we can figure out the right course of action so that you’re supported.
